Having added select characters each week since February, players have been introduced to Jin Kazama in March 31, Devil Jin in April 7, and Josie Rizal last Tuesday.

Gigas, a hulking bright red cyborg, was unveiled via a trailer at a broadcast during the convention, with the announcement the character may turn out to be the "most powerful fighter" in the history of the game.

In an interview with Event Hubs, Harada said Gigas, an unknown gargantuan with great physical strength, is a design collaboration with a guest creator, and not solely a creation of the Tekken Project team.

He further mentioned Gigas' backstory is still a secret, but disclosed the character is a power type ideal to pressure opponents with. Gigas has been built to charge and tackle even at farther ranges, and specializes in "destruction," keeping opponents in a continuous block stun.

Players blocking correctly in Tekken may play a successful game, but blocking Gigas with his destruction impulse fighting style would be a bad idea.

"Tekken 7" is currently available exclusively in Japanese arcades since it was launched in February, with no news yet released on when Bandai Namco plans to bring the game to consoles.
