'Bates Motel' Season 4 Episode 7 Spoilers: Norman's News Of Returning Home Sends Shivers To Norma
What mother would not feel enthusiastic to hear that her long lost child is finally heading back home? Norma Bates, however, will have all the reason not to be too happy to hear that her son Norman is now homeward bound in this week's brand new episode of A&E's hit psychological drama TV series, "Bates Motel" Season 4.
According to the synopsis shared over by TV.com for the episode titled "There's No Place Like Home," Norman will learn something by chance which will consequently force him to check out of Pineview Mental Institution. Back at Bates Motel, Norma will delve into new projects. She will enlist Romero's help on this one. Meanwhile, Dylan continues his search for Emma's mother. However, things might not go well as his investigation proves to be unfruitful.
A 30-second promo trailer reveals exactly the intense moments that are to be expected in the upcoming segment. In the clip, Norman is seen calling back home. Instead of having his mother greeting him on the other line, Sheriff Romero is the one who received his call. He quickly demands for his mother. Norman asks Norma in the video if everything is fine in the house, to which the latter replies, "Of course!"

But her expression quickly turns sullen when Norman announced that he is already released and is now ready to go back home. Viewers can easily deduce that Norma is terrified with the notion that his volatile son is now out.
In the next scene, Norman inquires about the checking out process. However, what seems to be Dr. Edward's voiceover can be heard stating that he's not ready to go home yet.
Judging from the sequence of the scenes, it appears that Norman's dismissal pushes through as he can now be seen reunited with his mother.
Norman declared he's now capable of acting normal but the mother pleaded to "give it more time," which can be assumed to mean that he must stay at Pineview. This doesn't sit well with Norman who blurted out, "Is this your idea or your husband's?"
