'Bates Motel' Season 5 Episode 7: Norman Finds Himself in Trouble as Suspicion Grows

The upcoming episode of "Bates Motel" season 5 will see Norman (Freddie Highmore) in a pickle as dead bodies are uncovered.

The synopsis for the next episode, titled "Inseparable," states that Norman and Mother (Vera Farmiga) will join forces as the former finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation as corpses are found. Meanwhile, an old friend will help Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell) recover, and Dylan (Max Thieriot) pays Norman a visit.

A teaser trailer for the new episodes has also been released. It opens with Norman, holding a bloody knife and standing in the bathroom, not knowing what to do. He has just killed Sam Loomis (Austin Nichols) and has to find a way to dispose of the body. The scene then shifts to Norman being questioned by Sheriff Jane Greene (Brooke Smith).

"Hope I didn't catch you at a bad time," she says to him, suspiciously, in the video. Norman nervously replies that it is not a bad time. "No trouble at all," he says.

Elsewhere, Dylan offers to help Madeleine (Isabelle McNally), who informs him that her husband is missing. Mother helps Norman get rid of Sam's body, and they can be seen lugging it around in the woods. Norman considers confessing his crime to the police, but Mother laughs at the very idea. The Sheriff informs Norman that they have discovered multiple bodies, as a team pulls out a corpse from the lake.

Meanwhile, here is a brief recap of the previous episode, titled "Marion."

Rihanna concluded her stint on "Bates Motel," and she surprisingly survived. Instead of Marion getting stabbed to death in the iconic shower scene, it was Sam who was on the receiving end of Norman's knife. Marion fled from the motel after she found out that her boyfriend was actually married.

And as executive producers Kerry Ehrin and Carlton Cuse warns, Norman will be more violent from this point forward.

"The character is caught between his increasingly violent tendencies and desires and his own perception of the world spinning out of control. That's clearly advancing toward a culminating act in the finale," Cuse told Variety. "I'm speaking vaguely to not spoil anything, but Norman is definitely progressing towards the end of the season."

"Bates Motel" season 5 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on A&E.
