'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Character News: Cavill and Affleck Share Details About Characters

The stars of the upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" have shared details about their characters and the plot.

According to Games Radar, Henry Cavill, who will be starring in the film as Superman, spoke about his character. In the interview, he explained some of the conflicts that will be portrayed in the film. He explained that the movie will feature an explanation for the damages made to the Wayne Financial Building, which is why Bruce Wayne, also known was Batman, was very affected by Superman's actions.

Cavill said, "What happens there is one of Bruce's buildings gets destroyed and he's trying to save all the people inside the building and he can't. So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?"

As for Batman, Ben Affleck explained further why his character will harbor a lot of resentment toward Superman. He explained, "He's found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman. So it's how he got there, and what that's done to him, and what that's done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It's something that's interesting and new."

The actor also added that some details about the possibility of him directing a Batman film. He explained that if that happens, it would be his dream. He expressed that he is very open to the idea as he knows that it will have big expectations from fans.

The upcoming film will feature other iconic characters, such as Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, and Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is expected to play in theaters on March 25, 2016.
