'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' News: Gal Gadot Says Not Everybody Happy with Her Being Wonder Woman

It's just a matter of days when the highly anticipated "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" film hits the theaters. While it's true that the upcoming movie highlights the battle between Batman and Superman in their quest for supremacy, there is no denying that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman character in the movie is also a major factor for baiting in moviegoers. However, despite being blessed with the opportunity to play one of the most iconic roles ever, Gadot shared that not everybody is happy with her suiting up as Wonder Woman.

In her interview on the "The Jimmy Kimmel Show," Gadot revealed that not all die-hard Wonder Woman fans were happy that Warner Bros. and DC handed her the magic lasso, tiara, and bullet-deflecting bracelets of Wonder Woman. She cited that many had complained that she didn't have the right figure for the Wonder Woman suit, with some people citing her model-thin physique.

However, thanks to her dedication to the role, Gadot finally arrived at the right Wonder Woman form by hitting the gym.

Apart from her form, Gadot also shared that many Wonder Woman fans also didn't like the changes undergone by the Wonder Woman costume, which, Kimmel noted as an almost complete departure from the original. While it's true that Wonder Woman's suit has undergone some makeover through the years, the one Gadot wears in the movie is almost devoid of the most identifiable elements of the Amazonian warrior princess' suit, such as the red star polygon on the tiara and a white star-spangled short shorts. Instead of having the star polygon, the tiara of Gadot's Wonder Woman bears the Eastern Star while the short shorts have become a gladiator skirt.

However, the criticisms about her body and her version of Wonder Woman costume did not douse the excitement and gratitude of Gadot over her breathing Wonder Woman into life.

"I was so happy and grateful and thankful for being there for doing this role that I didn't say anything about the fact that it [the costume] was so tight," she said, recalling the first time she tried the Wonder Woman costume.
