'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' plot rumors: Doomsday to beat Wonder Woman?
With less than a year into its big screen debut, "Batman v Superman" has sparked more excitement in fans as rumors and speculations continue to pour.
Previously, reports stated that Warner Bros. looked forward to seeing more of Ben Affleck, who plays Batman, in the film, which dismayed some fans and critics. Fans of Superman immediately sent backlashes, saying it was unfair to have Affleck appear more and put a shadow on Henry Cavill's character in the upcoming movie.
On the other hand, many fans who initially doubted Affleck's performance, and if he can either level or top Christian Bale's portrayal of Batman, have now turned to praise the star. Surprisingly, Affleck's aged and more mature Batman has become a hit to various audiences, especially after the release of the previous trailers.
While many fans already know that Wonder Woman, as portrayed by Gal Gadot, will be in a fierce battle with Doomsday, some fans have raised debate after rumor surfaced that the villain who was known in the comics to have an anger for Superman, will defeat the goddess.
The rumor might have rooted from a report by Heroic Hollywood wherein the battle was detailed. Wonder Woman manages to chop off Doomsday's hand, but the monster comes back with a bone blade that grows directly from where his hand used to be. The report reads, "Wonder Woman is badass and got skills but don't count Doomsday out! He is still in the fight! Complications ensue because a BONE BLADE grows back where Doomsday's hand used to be! In screenwriting that's called a reversal."
If Wonder Woman indeed gets defeated, then fans are left to think and reconsider of how director Zack Snyder will work out the story line of the biggest superhero clash in the history of DCU.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits big screens on March 25, 2016, and will be Wonder Woman's first cinematic appearance.
