'Batman v Superman' News: Jesse Eisenberg Isn't Lex Luthor

As fans await for what Jesse Eisenberg has to offer in his role as Lex Luthor in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," a new report has slammed all hopes that the actor will definitely pull off the iconic role.

According to a tweet by the fictional character that he posted last week, Eisenberg won't be playing the role of LexCorp. Instead, he will be depicting the life of his son, Alexander Luthor Jr., in the upcoming movie.

"Looking forward to reading about #LexCorp. Father would be proud," the post reads. A link to the interview where the revelation was made is also embedded in the post.

While the news is an interesting twist that could possibly make a huge impact on the story line of "Dawn of Justice," many fans were left confused by the move that diverted from what fans already know.

The fictitious interview discussed how Alexander Luthor Sr. was the father of the international conglomerate company that has become one of the DC world's biggest business chains. It also included an account from Lex himself, praising his father for "building a legacy for his precious son."

Lex Jr. further explained that his father founded the company 10 years before he was "unexpectedly" born into the world. Lex Sr. then started to think of his son's future and used the advantage that investors saw in his goals of establishing a heritage of wealth for his son to build a name in the business realm.

Lex Sr.'s story was one of success, fame, and glory, but his past was actually one that spoke of pain and misery. He is said to have come from a time when the country was at war and the government had all the rights on all aspects of society, including the finance industry.

While it is unclear if Lex. Jr.'s backstory will be depicted in "Batman v Superman," some fans speculate that a ray of light may be shed on how LexCorp. and Eisenberg's character will affect the biggest megasuperhero bout in the history of DC.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit the big screens on March 25, 2016.
