'Battlefield 1' DLC Update, Latest News: 'They Shall Not Pass' DLC Trailer, Release Date Revealed
Electronic Arts has released a cinematic trailer for the first downloadable content (DLC) expansion of the video game "Battlefield 1" titled "They Shall Not Pass." A release date has also been revealed.
The cinematic trailer shows off the French army and the new maps, weapons and vehicles which are included in the video game's upcoming expansion update.
The "They Shall Not Pass" DLC of "Battlefield 1" will include many new features, which includes the French Army and four new maps of the Western Front featuring the areas Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux, Soissons and Rupture.
The DLC update also comes with two new operations, new weapons to wield, a new Behemoth - the French Char 2C tank - and a new Elite Class known as Trench Raider.
A new game mode, called Frontlines, has also been introduced, offering a mixture of both Conquest and Rush. A rundown of the new added feature can be read below:
"Experience a mix of Conquest and Rush as you fight for chained control points in a tug-of-war frontline. Both teams fight for one flag at a time and when this objective is captured the action moves on to the next. Capture the enemy's HQ control point and the game turns into a Rush-style section where telegraph posts need to be attacked or defended."
As reported by GameRant, the "They Shall Not Pass" expansion will be given to Premium Pass members first, with early access for two weeks. Hence, gaming fans who want to acquire the DLC content before everyone else must pick up the Premium Pass for $50.
"They Shall Not Pass" is the first of four planned paid DLC packs for "Battlefield 1." The other three expansions are titled "In the Name of the Tsar," "Turning Tides" and "Apocalypse," and each of them will have a Russian, Turkish and Belgian theme respectively. These DLC packs will be released throughout the course of 2017.
"Battlefield 1" is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game's "They Shall Not Pass" DLC expansion arrives on March 14.
