'Battlefield 4' Legacy Operations DLC: Dragon Valley Map and Holiday Update Roll Out
Electronic Arts (EA) is rolling out a holiday update for "Battlefield 4," as well as the Legacy Operations DLC, which includes the requested Dragon Valley map.
Dragon Valley 2015
It's throwback time for "Battlefield 4" players as a new Dragon Valley map is now available for them to play in. Dragon Valley is a popular map that first appeared in "Battlefield 2." It found its way to the latest "Battlefield" game, as a result of a community vote during the previous year.
Dragon Valley 2015 is a remake of this previous map. EA has improved on the original map. It has grown the little houses around the river into a full village and the miniature Power Plant/Dam Area is now also in full-size. In addition, new features have also been added to it such as repairable bridges and a vertical cloud layer.
The Dragon Valley 2015 map is playable on current-generation consoles and the PC only due to its big file size. Those interested in playing it can download the DLC from their console's game store.
EA has also remade the Noshahr Canal from "Battlefield 3," the most played Team Death Match layout, and brought it into the game.
These add-on content became available starting Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Holiday update
EA has also started rolling out its Holiday Update, which will be necessary if players want to play the new Legacy Operations DLC, as well as to continue playing "Battlefield 4." The update is automatic and was released ahead of the add-on content.
The Holiday Update includes the following:
- General fixes and bug fixes
- Improvements on game modes
- Fine-tuning of anti-war missiles for consistency
- Revisions to weapons and gadgets
- Revisions to vehicles
- Fixed a spawn point that occasionally spawned players underground in Operation Outbreak
- Fixed the issue of players getting stuck on a helipad stairs in Operation Locker
- And more
