Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner News: 'Jen Is a Supermom,' Says Affleck
Is Jennifer Garner suiting up as a superhero in the movies again? Well, there is no news as of yet, but the former "Elektra" star is a real-life superhero in more ways than one as attested by her estranged partner, Ben Affleck, aka Batman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
"Jen is a superhero mom… she is an amazing mother and I'm really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that's what we do," Affleck enthused.
Affleck and Garner surprised the public with their announcement of calling their 10-year marriage quits in summer last year. However, until now, no record of divorce documents have been filed in L.A. courts.
It was believed that Affleck's supposed affair with their kids' nanny that caused the split-up. However, in her Vanity Fair interview last month, Garner straightened things out by saying that she and Affleck had already parted ways months prior before she heard of the issue involving the nanny.
Despite the separation, though, the couple decided to live together in their L.A. mansion to make sure that their kids—Seraphina, Violet, and Samuel—get the right parenting from both of them. According to some sources, the couple has no plans of changing their current setup of living under the same roof anytime soon as they are bent on providing their kids a normal family as much as possible.
Meanwhile, Affleck shared that he himself doesn't want his four-year old son Samuel to see "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," even though the youngster is a die-hard Batman fan, fearing that the boy might not be able to differentiate the movie from real life. However, he will use his "Batman powers" to make sure that his son can see him battle Superman and the bad guys in the child-friendliest way possible.
"I'll have to con one of the editors into giving me a truncated version of the movie without some of the scarier stuff," he said.
