Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus Dating: 'Most Supportive Boyfriend' Proves Hollywood Star's Devotion to His Girlfriend

Ben Affleck attended the Emmys last Sunday, Sept. 17, but not as a Hollywood star. He was there behind his girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, whose show "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) was up for several awards.

Affleck was dubbed the "most supportive boyfriend" when SNL won Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. Onlookers saw that the Batman actor jumped and cheered for his girlfriend, who is a producer on SNL, as she joined the rest of the show's crew on stage to accept their award.

Affleck later stood at the VIP lounge as he waited for his girlfriend to emerge out of the press room. He held Shookus' clutch the whole time. The couple linked arms when they walked out of the VIP area.

This is the first official Hollywood outing for the couple following his divorce from Jennifer Garner. He and Shookus have been spotted on dates since this summer.

However, Affleck and Shookus skipped the Emmy red carpet where the press was mingling with the stars. Still, videos and photos online showed the couple sitting close together and hanging out with other industry insiders at the after-party.

Meanwhile, Affleck is reportedly looking for a pad in New York City. The actor, who lives in Los Angeles, will be on the East coast more often to visit his girlfriend, as SNL films in the city.

"Ben has always loved New York," a source stated. "He's been looking at property for a while, and needs to find a place that is suitable for his kids."

Affleck will still make Los Angeles his permanent home base for his children with Garner. Shookus, on the other hand, has a child with her ex-husband Kevin Miller, whom she split up with in 2014.
