BET Awards: Fight Between Omarosa and Claudia Jordan Takes Center Stage
The BET Awards were supposed to bring out the best in performers but apparently brought out the worst in Omarosa and Claudia Jordan, both "Celebrity Apprentice" stars. The two allegedly got into a fight that ended with Omarosa's mother hitting Jordan.
Omarosa and Jordan reportedly got into a heated argument after Omarosa called Jordan "a stupid b----." That set off a series of verbal exchanges, which then led to Omarosa's mother inserting herself in the situation and hitting Jordan in the arm.
Security then broke up the fight and Jordan has claimed to have filed a police report about the incident. She took to Twitter to describe the situation, which then got an immediate response from Omarosa.
"Wow, that awkward moment when you're assaulted on the red carpet," Jordan tweeted.
"I am deeply saddened by Claudia Jordan's actions at the BET Awards," Omarosa told TMZ. "After all that my family and I have been through this year … she could at least show an ounce of decency and respect."
The two women had a falling out at the funeral of Omarosa's fiancé, Michael Clarke Duncan. Jordan reportedly took pictures at the funeral and posted them online, angering Omarosa, who wanted privacy at the funeral for her family and for Clarke's family as well.
Jordan said that she took the photos to pay homage to her friend, but that did not sit well with Omarosa. She also accused Omarsoa of using the funeral as a publicity event to further her own career.
The two have been at each other's throats ever since, but Omarosa maintains that her mother was not involved in the BET fight.
"You know my mother," Omarosa told HipHollywood. "You know my mother wouldn't punch Claudia Jordan in the face. They bumped into each other, but there was never a punch thrown. It's a non-story."
"People saw it. It's only a matter of time before video surfaces," Jordan told the same publication. "It's really not that big of a deal. There were some things said, and she punched [me] in the arm as she walked by."
