Fallout 4 Rumors Denied By Bethesda, No News on Development, Release Date
Fallout 3 and its expansion, New Vegas, have been out for a few years now. Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment have been really quiet about the release of their upcoming games, even the sequel to the post-apocalyptic game franchise.
On January of 2013 Erik Dellums, the voice of Three Dog in Fallout 3, tweeted about the possible return of the game. He had also mentioned that Bethesda gave him authorization to post it online but the company did not give out any comments about that statement. The tweet was not confirmed by Bethesda to be true, so fans speculated it was nothing more than a hoax.
Then later in November the same year, fans were excited to hear about a rumor that a Fallout sequel was in the works when a trademark for the game was spotted on the website of the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market or OHIM. The rumor was later dispelled when the trademark was admitted to be fake by Survivor 2299.
Fans have been continuously hoping for a sequel after those rumors, even going as far as continuously asking Bethesda community manager and marketing executive Pete Hines about the potential release of the game.
This year during the Electronic Entertainment Expo, Hines had told fans in attendance that all and any rumors surrounding the Fallout sequel release was false. He added that Bethesda was still in the progress of developing a game and the company wouldn't give any information about it.
Still, fans are hopeful that Bethesda would give them something before the year ends. Bethesda had already made their attendance at the recently concluded Gamescon but any announcements about the Fallout sequel was not made.
The company will also be making an appearance during the Tokyo Game Show on Sept.18-21 and it may be the fan's last hope of hearing about their favorite post-apocalyptic franchise.
