'Better Call Saul' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Showrunner Says Viewers Will See Jimmy's Romantic Side In New Season

There's a lot to look forward to in the second season of AMC's popular "Breaking Bad" spinoff, "Better Call Saul." There's Jimmy McGill's (Bob Odenkirk) long-awaited metamorphosis into Walter White's (Bryan Cranston) lawyer and accomplice Saul Goodman, Ed Begley Jr.'s "authority figure" Clifford, the much-hyped "Breaking Bad" character cameos, and, as showrunner Peter Gould recently revealed, a potential McGill romance.

"You're going to see, for one thing, a romantic side to Jimmy," the "Better Call Saul" boss recently told Entertainment Weekly. "The relationship that he has with Kim [Rhea Seehorn] gets much deeper," he revealed. "It is both personal and professional, and it's really the beating heart of season 2."

According to TIME, Jimmy and Kim will "explore what they mean to each other" in Season 2. But will Kim, with whom Jimmy has a complicated history, accept his emerging Saul Goodman persona?

"That's a big question," Gould admitted. "Kim has a lot of very strong opinions about what Jimmy should be doing with his life, but they aren't necessarily the opinions that you'd expect," he explained. "And also, Kim finds it a lot easier to talk the talk than to walk the walk."

TIME also reports that the two will get some thrills from a small-scale heist in the premiere episode of Season 2.

The Season 2 premiere will also reveal why McGill turned down the job offer from Davis and Main. According to the website, the answer is not that he wishes to stray from the path of righteousness. Rather, Jimmy's motivation is reportedly very personal and may even be a good thing for his love life in the forthcoming season.

TV Guide also reports that Jimmy will be forced to think about just how much he can bend the law when he has to deal with Davis and Main again in the coming season. Still, the biggest question going into the show's second run is: Will Jimmy's relationship with Kim be a bump on the road to becoming Saul Goodman?

The second season of "Better Call Saul" debuts Monday, Feb. 15, on AMC.
