Beyonce Cries as Mrs Carter Tour Wraps Up; 'I'm Giving Y'all an Ugly Cry' (VIDEO)

Beyonce broke down in tears Thursday while wrapping up her Mrs. Carter World Tour in Portugal.

The iconic singer, 32, could not contain her emotions on stage in Lisbon as her year-long tour came to an end. Beyonce first kicked off the tour in April last year and critics previously projected that upon wrapping up, it would mark the most successful tour of her music career and make her the highest-paid black musician of all time.

"I want a spot[light]. I want them to see me. If you all don't know, tonight makes 132 shows," a teary-eyed Beyonce told the roaring crowd.

"Tonight is the last show of the Mrs. Carter Show. We started a year ago and I want to say this has been such a journey," she continued. "In the past year, we've been through so much together. The Super Bowl, shooting the videos, all of these shows."

The "Drunk In Love" singer performed a total of 60 shows in Europe, 47 shows in North America, 7 shows in South America and 18 shows throughout Australasia. Last month experts predicted that the tour would have generated more than $200 million in gross receipts making it the highest grossing female tour of 2013, according to ABC News.

"When I first started the tour, my baby was not even walking yet. I just want you to know that I am so lucky," Beyonce said referring to baby Blue Ivy.

"I'm giving y'all an ugly cry. Thank y'all again. Thank you for allowing me to have a career," she continued. "When I fall, you lift me up. When I'm hungry, you feed me. And I just want to give you my light. I dedicate this song to you guys."

Last year the singer who began her music career as a child, made Forbes' Top 10 list of the highest-paid musicians in the world.

She joins the likes of Madonna, whose 2012 MDNA tour grossed $305 million, and Lady Gaga, whose Born This Way tour brought in $181 million before it was abruptly cut short due to a hip injury.

In 2012 the Hollywood star and wife of Hip Hop mogul Jay Z, 44, inked a $50 million deal with Pepsi. She also has endorsement deals with L'Oreal and H&M among other brands.

In 2013 Beyonce was named one of Time magazine's most influential people in the world.
