Bible Verses for Thanksgiving- Top Inspiring Scriptures on Gratitude
There is always something to be grateful for.
We take much for granted, just like most of the virtues, you don't become thankful automatically. We need to practice and cultivate the habits of gratitude. For example if you are feeling down, make a list of 10 things that you can be grateful for. Your gratefulness will help shift your focus away from your current situation and toward everything good God has done in your life.

Give thanks in all circumstances.
Paul tells the Thessalonians to give thanks in all circumstances because it’s God’s will. Often times we lack perspective about our lives, we feel miserable or difficult when things don’t go well, and we can’t see God is in the middle of it, and He is working to bring good out of it. No matter what we are going through, we can give thanks that God is there. He is sustaining us through it and redeeming the situation.
God is the source of blessings.
Thanksgiving Day helps us to focus on the God as the true source of all our blessings. As the hymnwriter said, "All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all."
