'Big Brother' News: Down to Final 3 for the $500,000 Win
After spending more than 90 days in the "Big Brother" house, season 16 is down to the final three contestants: Derrick Levasseur, the 30-year old undercover cop, Victoria Rafaeli, the 22-year old photographer and Cody Calafiore, the 23-year old former soccer player.
Though this season was deemed as less loud and catty than other seasons, it featured notable moments such as Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd's engagement, and it also had Ariana Grande's brother, Frankie, in the cast. There were also some controversial moments, such as Christine Brecht, who is married, and her flirtation with Calafiore.
Many are surprised that Rafaeli has made it into the final three seeing as she mostly flew under the radar and didn't appear to do much to secure one of the top three spots. She was also in jeopardy of being eliminated nine times, and she has never made an alliance, apart from her friendship with Levasseur. Though she has made it this far, it is unlikely that she'll be crowned the winner of season 16.
Meanwhile, Levasseur has never been nominated, but he needs to win the HOH competition to really see the contest down to the end. He was also part of the stronger alliances such as "The Bomb Squad," "The Detonators," "The Hitmen" and "Team America." He is also the one who is favored to win the competition.
Calafiore's strength lies in his likability—he's one of the guys, and also extremely popular with the ladies. He's also very loyal to Levasseur, as their alliance, "The Hitmen," which was formed on day two of the show, looks as strong as ever, so he may end up in the top two along with his buddy, though he's extremely competitive, he seems unlikely to betray his friend, so all odds are still on Levasseur to win.
The winner of this season's "Big Brother" will get to take home $500,000. Watch "Big Brother" crowns its season 16 winner at 9:30 p.m. PT/ET on Wednesday, Sept. 24 on CBS.
