'Big Little Lies' Spoilers: What's Next After Abigail's Decision? Jane's Past Slowly Unravels
Everything that happened so far in "Big Little Lies" will lead up to someone's murder revealed in the flash-forwards. The events in the third episode, "Living the Dream," are no exception.
Spoiler Alert! The following contains plot details from the previous episode of "Big Little Lies." Read at your own discretion.
Episode 3 of "Big Little Lies" saw Abigail (Kathryn Newton) move in with Nathan (James Tupper) and Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz), much to Madeline's (Reese Witherspoon) heartbreak.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tupper hinted that this will play a big part in the gruesome events that will shake the town when asked about Abigail's decision.
"The beautiful thing about this story is that it's all carefully woven. If that didn't happen then the murder wouldn't happen. Everything is all woven together and when you get to the end you'll find out how," the actor explained.
"It even comes down to when Madeline broke her heel at the very beginning and met Shailene Woodley's character [Jane]: you realize everything is knit together in this chain of events. For Nathan, his daughter moving in is one of the best moments of his life because he gets to reclaim some little shard of what he missed out on," he went on to say.
"Big Little Lies" will be back next week with episode 4, "Push Comes to Shove." Here, Nathan invites Madeline and Ed (Adam Scott) to dinner to discuss how they will handle parenting Abigail.
As this takes place, "Big Little Lies" episode 4 will also see Madeline unravel a layer of Jane's mysterious life by learning a "key player" from her past.
Speaking of Jane, she will meet Ziggy's (Iain Armitage) in "Big Little Lies" episode 4 while Celeste (Nicole Kidman) preps for a city-council meeting regarding Madeline's play.
"Big Little Lies" episode 4, "Push Comes to Shove," airs Sunday, March 12 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
