'black-ish' Season 4 Spoilers: Diane Gets Her Period

The upcoming episode of "black-ish" season 4 will see Diane (Marsai Martin) going through some behavioral changes as she takes another step toward becoming a woman.

The synopsis of the next episode, titled "First and Last," states that Diane will experience a huge life event, and Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross), Ruby (Jenifer Lewis), Zoey (Yara Shahidi), and Alicia (guest star Anna Deavere Smith) will all be there to give their support.

Elsewhere, Dre (Anthony Anderson) will be concerned that he may never beat Junior (Marcus Scribner) in a game of basketball again. Terrified, Dre will mess with his son psychologically so as to incapacitate him before challenging him to a game.

A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released. It opens with a montage of Diane when she was much younger and less aggressive. But, it soon becomes clear that she is growing up.

Diane is then seen slamming her bag onto the dining table, startling Dre and Bow. She gives them a nasty look, which confuses her parents. Dre asks his wife what is wrong with Diane. Ms. Davis (Jennie Pierson) informs Bow that Diane got her period, but before they can continue conversing, Diane angrily honks the car horn.

"Ain't nobody got time for you to make a friend, Rainbow," Diane snaps at her mother.

In the previous episode, titled "Public Fool," viewers saw more of Junior. After being blamed for an action he did not commit, Junior found himself expelled from his private school. Dre and Bow tried to look for a new private school to send him to, but no one would accept him. They were forced to send Junior to public school. But, things took a turn for the better, and Junior admitted to his parents that he felt more comfortable in public school than he ever did at Valley Glen Prep.

"black-ish" season 4 airs Tuesdays, at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
