However, there are speculations stating that he will eventually join the team of Captain America. The news of which side he choses had fans wondering why. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Chad Bosewick, who will be portraying the role of the Black Panther, shared some teasers about the matter. Along with his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was reported that the writer of the "Black Panther" comics, Ta-Nehisi Coates, is expected to debut a new comic series for the Marvel superhero.

According to Wired Magazine, Coates was able to explain why he decided to write the comic series. He said, "I mean, it was Marvel and it was a comic book. I would have written anything for them. When I started reading comics, there was no Black Panther series in motion, and he wasn't in the Avengers at that time either, so I wasn't as up on him as other people. Once I went back and did the really heavy research, I began to feel like I had my particular take on the character."
