'Black Panther' News: Whose Side Is He On?
With Black Panther making his debut in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War," there has been news on whose side he will be taking in the film.
The upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" movie is expected to pit Marvel's superheroes against each other when the Registration Act is introduced. It was revealed that Iron Man will be leading the pro-registration side, while Captain America will be on the anti-registration.
However, Black Panther's side has not yet been revealed, even though it was hinted that he will be playing an important role in the upcoming movie. With that, the actor who will be playing the role of Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, shared some details about what his character will be like as he debuts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Entertainment Weekly, he said, "He's definitely not the life of the party in this instance. I think this is something true of the comic book character and the movie. You never quite know where he stands. There's always a bit of concealing and mystery. So I think mysterious is more his boat. Not to say there's not charm and he can't be a ladies' man and all that. It's more like if there is humor, it's more like James Bond."
It was revealed that the Black Panther in the Marvel comics is not just made up of one person. The name is passed down to several generations of the royal family in Wakanda. The character's name of Black Panther is T'Challa, who is still in the early phases of his new role.
The head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, also explained that since T'Challa is still learning how to be a superhero, he still has many lessons to learn and challenges to face as he accepts his role. With that, he is still unable to make a choice between siding with Iron Man or Captain America.
