Black Sails has been full of unexpected events. There have been a lot of reversal schemes of fortune. As each week passes by, there have been a lot of unexpected turn of events. Thus, giving fans a whole lot of reasons to look forward to the fourth season.
What to Expect in Season 4
Just recently, Starz announced that there will be a fourth season of the original series. It has also been reported that this 10-episode fourth season will be its last.
Furthermore, co-creator and executive producer Jonathan E. Steinberg reported that it has been their privilege to get the freedom they have in running the show. He also added that while it was difficult to think that the fourth season will be the last, but they cannot imagine anything after this. So, it is best to end it this fourth season.
Steinberg explained that Season 4 will be more on Silver's and Madi's character. He also added that actor Luke Arnold, did an impressive job in the series. He also stated that Madi's character has become relevant pretty quickly in the series.
The next season then is going to be about finding Charles Vane (Zach McGowan). He needs to be found in the "Black Sails" universe. During the last season, Charles Vane was dead, and when the fourth season kicks in, the new character to take his place will have a big responsibility to make the show run as it has always been.
"Black Sails" Season 4 will be more likely to spill more blood and everyone is calling for Eleanor's head. However, the creators of the series seem to like Eleanor's (Hannah New) character, so her role may go either way. For Woode Roger's (Luke Roberts) part, he seems to have more time. As of this time the future of the next season will remain as it is. However, the deaths already happened and one thing for certain there will be more deaths in the future.
Producers have announced that "Black Sails" Season 4 is set to premiere this coming January 2017.
