BlackBerry Classic: Features, Specs, Release Date
With the focus on the newly announced and very angular BlackBerry Passport, it's easy to overlook another new phone that will soon be joining BlackBerry's range of phones—The Blackberry Classic.
BlackBerry has been relatively quiet these past years as previous releases seem to go on without the usual hoopla that accompanies smart phone releases, such as Apple's much talked about iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release in September. It could be due to the fact that most people are not interested in having a physical keyboard on their phones anymore, but those who miss the classic QWERTY keyboard will surely appreciate this latest offering from Blackberry.
The BlackBerry Classic will run on the Blackberry 10.3.1 operating system and will be powered by a Quad core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The design will closely resemble that of the BlackBerry Bold. However, it is expected to be more luxurious looking than the Bold and will feature a metal frame, according to Know Your Mobile.

The QWERTY board will stretch from edge to edge along the bottom of the phone. The phone will have a 3.5 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels and a touch-screen interface.
The camera will have Geo-tagging, face detection and HDR capabilities, and the memory storage is expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. The BlackBerry Classic will be the thinnest phone in the BlackBerry range as it measures a slim 130 x 72 x 9mm.
The price for a brand new BlackBerry Classic has not been released as of the moment. However, CEO John Chen said that the company may lower the price range for the BlackBerry Passport, so it's very possible that the Classic will also follow suit with regards to pricing.
The BlackBerry Classic is rumored to be released between November and December 2014.
