Blackberry Classic Release Date: Manufacturer's 'Comeback' Handset Finally Hits T-Mobile in US
Just a couple of years ago, nobody thought that Blackberry would still be able to recover from its financial woes. But here we are, talking about the company's latest devices.
While the official Blackberry Classic release date was late last year, the device is still popular among Blackberry loyalists, and some consumers even make it a reliable secondary handset.
According to a report by GSM Arena, the BB OS-powered smartphone will finally arrive to T-Mobile in the US.
Other network carriers in the country such as AT&T and Verizon already have the Classic for the past couple of months so this is definitely great news for Blackberry fans who are currently subscribed at T-Mobile.
In the report, T-Mobile subscribers can avail of the Blackberry Classic for $0 down payment, though they would have to pay $18.33 each month for the next 24 months.
The total for that is $439.92, which is also the retail price tag if you like to get it off-contract.
For a quick refresher of the Blackberry Classic's specs, it boasts a 3.5-inch display with 720 x 720 resolution, 2GB of RAM, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, an 8MP primary camera with LED flash, 2MP selfie shooter, and 16GB of built-in storage.
Rounding up the specs sheet is a 2,500mAh battery and Blackberry OS. "Participating stores" will reportedly get stocks for the device beginning May 15.
