Blackberry Vienna Rumors 2016: Unveiling To Happen At The Ongoing Mobile World Congress?
Is Blackberry really unveiling its second Android phone at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 event in Barcelona? This is the question of Blackberry fans who are excitedly awaiting news from the brand's allegedly second Android-based phone, the Vienna.
As of this writing, the MWC is still ongoing and no news about the Vienna's unveiling has been available. Just like other smartphone makers such as Samsung, Sony, LG and Xiaomi, Blackberry is also expected to take part in the event and give some important news or updates about its upcoming mobile devices.
The curiosity of Blackberry fans and gadget experts on the Blackberry Vienna was spurred by a supposed rendering of the Blackberry Vienna released by Crackberry in November last year. If the renderings are true, the alleged second Android phone of Blackberry will sport a different look from its first Android phone, Priv.
According to another report, while the rumored Vienna phone does not come with a slider and touch-screen display like those of Priv, it is expected to boast of a five-inch full HD display, an 18MP camera with LED flash, and a slot for its microSD card expansion.
Crackberry noted, though, that things can still change for the leaked supposed renders of the Blackberry Vienna in terms of its design, much more that there is no information suggesting when they were made. It also opined that while it is true that many Blackberry fans are hoping for a full-screen Android phone devoid of the physical keypads, the brand seems to be starting its full embrace of the Android by carrying on its physical QWERTY pads. If Blackberry will eventually drop the physical keypads as it continues to make Android-powered phones, only time can tell.
BlackBerry CEO John Chen has already declared that Blackberry Android smartphones will be highlighted this 2016. While there is no confirmation yet if Blackberry will take part in the MWC and make some announcements about its rumored Vienna before the event concludes on Feb. 25, its fans can only hope it does and put an end to all the speculations on its second Android phone.
