Blake Shelton And Jennifer Hudson Start A New Feud on 'The Voice' Season 13

NBC just aired the premiere episode of "The Voice" season 13, but things appeared to be heating up already for long-time coach Blake Shelton and newbie Jennifer Hudson.

In a short feature inspired by Bravo's "The Desperate Housewives" franchise, the country music superstar appeared to be taunting the new coach who was hailed as "The Voice UK" winner earlier this year.

"I feel like Jennifer is coming from the minor leagues into the big-time boys here," Shelton stated in the video that was posted by E! News. "She was on The Voice U.K. and she won, but this is different."

However, Hudson has a ready reply for the coach of NBC's long-running singing reality show. According to the former "American Idol" contestant, she won last season's "The Voice UK" during her rookie year. That could serve as a warning for the veteran coach.

Hudson also revealed her goals for joining "The Voice" season 13. "I am definitely here to win. If I'm not here to win, then I shouldn't be here at all!" she also said in front of the cameras.

The match-up between the two coaches are being observed with their co-stars Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus as they all battle it out to be selected by the show's auditionees for this season. In the feature, Cyrus revealed that she loves seeing Shelton and Hudson giving their all whenever they want to get the same artist.

On the other hand, the long-standing feud between Shelton and Levine seemed to sizzle this season after Hudson's arrival in the show.

"Adam and I decided, you know what, let's try to get along for a season," Shelton stated in the featurette. This means that the bromance between the two veteran coaches will be stronger than before.

NBC will air the new episodes of "The Voice" season 13 every Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT.
