'Blindspot' Season 2 Premiere and Release: Who Is Jane Doe? More Revelations, Cast and Plot Details
"Blindspot" wrapped up Season 1 with Jane (Jaimie Alexander) pursuing Oscar (Francois Arnaud) and finally tracks him down. Oscar then captures Jane and names Shepherd as the mysterious figure behind Jane's identity. Fortunately Jane frees herself and kills Oscar. This ends with Oscar dead and will not be coming back in Season 2.
Season 2 of the series will premiere real soon and in recent reports the show's creator Martin Gero stated that the next season will be a reset. It will be bringing in more cast members like Archie Panjabi, Luke Mitchell and Michelle Hurd.
He further stated that the second season will be more important than the first. Gero also mentioned that the reason for Archie to be included in the cast is to bring in more new viewers of the series.
The Revelation
"Blindspot" Season 1 also revealed that Jane Doe was not Taylor Shaw and that the real Taylor was killed by Kurt Weller's father when she was just a child. This lead to a painful confrontation between the two in the finale moments of the series.
In a recent report, Gero has confirmed that the second season will reveal Jane Doe's real name and provide answers to the questions and mysteries from the first season.
In the second season of the series it might be that Jane and Weller will be at odds at the beginning. However, Panjabi's character will get everyone back on track. Panjabi will be the head of a secret division of the NSA.
What To Expect
Gero added in a statement that the show on its second season will be less violent and will allow lighter moments for the viewers. However, the show will still be recognizable despite altering some of the violent side of it.
There will also be more mysteries to be revealed in the second installment which will answer the questions left from the first season.
"Blindspot" is a crime drama television series is created by Martin Gero and stars Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander. The first season of the TV show had 22 episodes and later on the production added more to make it up to 23 episodes after the finale. The series has been renewed for a second season and will be released on September 14, 2016.
