'Bloodline' season 2 spoilers: What will happen to the Rayburn siblings?
Netflix's original thriller series "Bloodline" has just ended its first season and has just been renewed for a second season. The series revolves around the dysfunctional Rayburn family and their daily life.
The 1st season ended with John (Kyle Chandler), Meg (Linda Cardinelli), and Kevin (Norbert Leo Butz) helping each other out in an effort to keep their brother Danny's (Ben Mendelsohn) death from their mother Sally (Sissy Spacek). Unfortunately, Sally learned the truth from Lenny (Frank Hoyt Taylor) about her children, while Danny's son showed up at John's house.
The upcoming season will introduce a new character in Ozzy Delvecchio, a charming yet violent man from Danny's very dark past who threatens to throw a wrench in the Rayburn family. Actor John Leguizamo will play the said role.

Actor Ben Mendelsohn will be returning next season, despite the fact that his character died. Executive producer Glenn Kessler spoke about Mendelsohn's character. "The DNA of the show is such that the past is always with us. We're going to learn more about Danny's effect on the family and more about his past, and also what his effects are in the present day. There's a very important story that we're interested in telling that includes [Danny]," he said. Furthermore, he stated that they intended to keep Mendelsohn on the project. "That was always part of the plan. When we first hired him, it was for more than the first season," he added.
Actor Kyle Chandler spoke about what is next for his character in season 2. "I think that John's a good person who just did a bad thing. I think that the fun is going to be in Season 2, dealing with the consequences of what he's done. We haven't had time, yet, for it to really sink it. Those scenes haven't been written yet where that pathology is fully evident. So the things that causes in his character will be very interesting," he said.
The brand-new season remains open in a sense that the previous season left fans with a lot of unanswered questions, especially with regard to Danny's son who suddenly showed up out of nowhere. What happens now that Sally knows the truth about her children? What will happen to the rest of the Rayburn clan? There are a lot of things to explore in the coming season.
There is no date set for the next season, but it is highly likely to return sometime next year.
