'Blue Bloods' Season 6 Spoilers: Erin's Informant Goes Rogue; New Episode To Tackle An Old Mob Story

Things are expected to get more complicated, particularly for Erin Reagan, in this week's showing of CBS' hit police-procedural drama TV series "Blue Bloods" Season 6. Meanwhile, an old mob case gets thawed in the upcoming episode.

Citing the spoiler reports from TV Guide for the segment titled "With Friends Like These," it is said that Erin will be double-crossed by her own informant and that this could severely affect the case she is handling.

The case, as divulged by the website, involves a mob boss. Of all the type of cases the feisty Reagan woman could use to pin down the mastermind, she opted to take an old murder charge.

One of the people who could help her nail the case is this old informant, Vincent, who has been under the witness protection program of the New York Police Department.

The mentioned individual had been a great help for Erin. But things may change when Vincent decides to drop the witness protection and returns to his old boss to offer the mobster an alibi for the murder. Needless to say, the case won't be open and there's a possibility that it will eventually be shut down completely. How will Erin be able to reverse the tide of the battle? Is there something that forced Vincent to have a change of heart?

Meanwhile, the summary of the episode also mentioned Frank Reagan who is about to get into a bout with the commissioner of the New York City Fire Department, Stan Rourke.

Instead of revealing the cause of the rift, the spoiler report from LatinPost.com said that this departmental war will bring out some "surprising revelations" that would also cause the two leaders to feel at odds against one another.

See how these events turn out when "Blue Bloods" Season 6 airs Friday, Oct. 16, on CBS.
