'Blue Bloods' Season 6 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Danny's Hunt for A Serial Killer
CBS' "Blue Bloods" is due to premiere for its sixth season next month, and new spoilers have cropped up giving a preview of the season to come.
With the return of "Blue Bloods" for Season 6 this September, audiences will be treated to Danny on the heels of a serial killer suspected be hunting him in turn.
Detective First Grade Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) is fresh off a case from last season that's put his family to the test. Last season the Reagans rushed to the hospital after Danny's wife, Linda (Amy Carlson) is shot, and Danny nabs the gang member responsible for her shooting. Turns out the gang member murdered a deputy police chief, as well.
During the premiere of Season 6, fans will see him teaming up with Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) to track down a serial killer who sends Danny a chilling message, pointing out suspect may have a personal vendetta against Detective Reagan.
Meanwhile Erin Reagan-Boyle (Bridget Moynahan) is thinking of applying for a judgeship position, giving rise to anticipation over whether she will actually go through with the idea she's toying with, and whether it will give rise to more conflicts of interest in the plot.
Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) finds himself in a tight spot after he is accused of corruption by a mayoral candidate, a political issue that doesn't often appear in television crime series.
Officer Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) will find also herself facing her long-estranged father when he lands in the hospital.
"Blue Bloods" was earlier renewed for a sixth season in May after ratings went up during the Season 5 finale. It will continue to follow the lives of the Reagans, an Irish-American family of police officers working with the New York City Police Department, when it returns to its usual timeslot for Season 6 on Sept. 25.
