Bobby Brown Plans Concert Hours After Whitney Houston's Funeral
Despite Bobby Brown's public display of emotion over the loss of his ex-wife, Whitney Houston, some have charged that he is only after publicity. The R&B artist paid tribute to his wife in a Thursday night concert, saying he loved Whitney like he loved God. His next concert is scheduled for Saturday night, the same day as Houston's funeral.
During a Thursday night concert in Maryland, Bobby Brown performed "She's My Lady" as a tribute to Whitney Houston. Fans cheered loudly, when Brown so much as mentioned Houston's name. "I'd like to say thank you, period," Brown began. "My first one for Whitney. That's my love. But life is life. You have to move on sometimes."
The statement is likely to cause uproar after Brown has already been accused of using Houston's death to get more publicity. TMZ also reported that Cissy Houston, Whitney's mother, wants to keep Brown away in fear that he will use Bobbi Kristina to tap into Houston's estimated $20 million.

"The family is convinced ... Bobby is broke, and he's making a play for his daughter's affection to latch on to what could be an estate worth around $20 million, and that figure could double by the end of this year," a source told TMZ.
It has been confirmed that Brown is also not welcome at Houston's funeral, although they will not keep him away for Bobbi Kristina's sake. "One of Houston's family members told ABC News that while many people in the family don't want Brown to attend the funeral, they can't stop him because of his connection with Bobbi Kristina," ABC reporter Sheila Marikar stated.
After Brown announced that Whitney was his love he continued to state, "I love her like I love God." Despite his acclamation of love however, Brown will continue his concert tour on Saturday, following Houston's funeral. Whitney Houston's funeral will take place Saturday at noon, in New Jersey. Brown will perform later, at 8 p.m., at the Mohegan Sun Indian Casino in Connecticut.
