Boca Juniors vs Nacional for 2016 Copa Libertadores: The Preview, Live Stream and Start Time
The aggregate is at 1-1.
Playing the second leg of their Copa Libertadores matchup, Boca Juniors host Nacional at Estadio Alberto Jose Armando in Argentina.
This quarterfinal battle is on May 19, 2016 at 7:15 PM ET.
There are still a lot to fight for in this battle between the two experienced squads as they are tied at 1-1 after a thrilling first leg and the winner is assured a seat in the tournament's semifinals.
Both teams are very capable of getting the needed result but it boils down on which squad will go that extra mile in Argentina to get that win.
Boca Juniors should have a slight advantage as they are playing at home and also have that crucial away goal in the bag.
If they can settle for a goalless draw at home, then they can secure their spot in the semis via aggregate victory.
However, it is not a safe strategy to play as Nacional will undoubtedly be aggressive throughout the game and will try to go for an early goal that sets them up for a classic finish.
If the guests get that goal early, they will nullify Boca Junior's advantage and will be in the driver's seat in the game.
In the first game between the two, both teams were even throughout the contest as the possession was almost split in half, with Boca having 52% of the ball, while Nacional had 48%.
However, Boca took the lead in the 70th minute as Frank Fabra scored to give the Argentine squad the lead in the late stages of the game.
Looking to bounce back, it only took six minutes before Sebastian Fernandez regained the ball and levelled the score to erase Boca's lead.
It was an intense battle where 43 fouls were committed and expect the same amount of intensity as these two settle the score.
