'Bones' Season 11 May Be the End for Fox Series
"Bones" season 11 may be the last installment for the Fox series as the network's executives have yet to decide on a renewal.
Fox executives still have to talk about a lot of factors, but as of now, it appears that "Bones" season 11 marks the end for the series. However, they promised the show's loyal fans that they will witness a meaningful and satisfying ending, according to TV Fanatic.
At present, there is an ongoing legal battle between 20th Century Fox and "Bones" stars over profit issues, but Fox Co-Chairman and CEO Dana Walden assured that the dispute will not affect their decision. They have already decided to end the series, but they still have not agreed on whether the last episode will be part of season 11 or if they should give the show a 12th season, Netflix Life reports.
"It's top of next week business to start talking with the producers about whether this will be the end of its run or if it will go another season," said Walden.
Walden also mentioned that they will give series creator Hart Hanson and Co a lot of time to come up with a grand ending for the show. At this point, there is still no confirmed return date for the series, the report adds.
For sure, Fox executives will not go on with another season if "Bones" star David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel will not be part of it. Walden's announcement may come as a disappointment for many fans, but there is nothing they could do except wait, the report relays.
Meanwhile, fans can watch "Bones" season 11 online while waiting for confirmation on the show's renewal. Like all the other 10 seasons, the 11th installment will be available on Netflix this year. There is still no exact Netflix release date for "Bones" season 11, but rumors point to late September or early October as the most probable schedule.
