'Bones' Season 11 Spoilers: Is Angela Giving Up on Hodgins as Sebastian Enters the Picture?
In what could be one of the most shocking reveals yet circling around the "Hodgins' Arc," it seems the paralyzed expert will be left alone to deal with his pain and struggles.
The midseason finale of "Bones" season 11 ended with Aubrey (John Boyd) trying to get Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) out of the explosion. While it was Aubrey who was expected to get the serious injuries, a twist of fate landed Hodgins on a long stay at the hospital and Aubrey left the hospital bed in no time.
It is now clear that Hodgins will be paralyzed for quite a long time and possibly for the rest of his life. This means he will have to go through the difficulties of self-pity. It will be a hard and strenuous journey, especially after he has just started to feel that he is worthy of Angela's (Michaela Conlin) love.
A further pain in the neck will push him lower to a position that he never saw coming as spoilers reveal that the love of his life will possibly face temptations of being with another man. In an interview with TV Guide, executive producer Michael Peterson said, "Angela's going to need a shoulder to lean on." That person is none other than Sebastian Kohl (Gil Darnell).
Fans can't blame Angela for finding refuge in someone else's arms since she has to go through Hodgins' difficulties, too. While she loves her husband a lot, it seems she will find something in Sebastian that Hodgins can't offer. In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Peterson noted that "She [Angela] is really going to bear the brunt of all of his [Hodgins] emotions. That will lead to temptations."
It is unclear at the moment if Hodgins' condition will finally break his relationship with Angela and how much Sebastian's involvement will impact all the things they have to go through.
Fans will just have to wait for "Bones" season 11 to resume to find out if Angela will bid Hodgins good-bye.
There is no exact date revealed as to when the season will start airing again.
