With only three episodes left on its 12th and final season, FOX's crime procedural series "Bones" is approaching the homestretch with crucial evidence that could finally exonerate former Jeffersonian forensic expert Zack Addy (Eric Millegan).
The tireless efforts of Jack Hodgins (TJ Thyne) to prove his estranged friend's innocence may finally be paying off thanks to some ample assistance from former forensic psychiatrist-turned-chef Gordon Wyatt (Stephen Fry). But can the corpse of The Gormogon's (Laurence Todd Rosenthal) former apprentice really give them something significant to present in court?
It just might, but it could also take a while to put together their defense since the synopsis for the next episode does not mention anything about Zack. Instead, the team will be putting their efforts in solving the case of the dead aspiring writer/director, whose bruised and burning body crash-lands on a passing car. This particular case will lead Brennan and her team through a series of strange locations and characters that are curiously connected to the victim's movie.

In the middle of it all, Brennan will turn to fellow forensic anthropologist Dr. Beth Mayer (Betty White) to seek counsel on the meaning of passion in the work place. Meanwhile, her husband, Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), will be taking a step back and allowing his partner James Aubrey (John Boyd) to take full reins on their current case.
