'Bones' Season 12 Episode 11 Spoilers: Penultimate Episode Sets Series Up for Explosive Finale
The 12th and last season of "Bones" only has two episodes left to raise the stakes one last time before finally tying up the loose ends. And what better way to send off the long-running series to its final climax than to bring back one of its most devious antagonists with the deepest personal grudge.
In the series' penultimate episode titled "The Day in the Life," Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her team will be taking on new beginnings as they each approach their final story. Brennan goes to court to testify for Zack (Eric Millegan) with the new evidence her team has uncovered thanks to Hodgins' (TJ Thyne) hard work and Wyatt's (Stephen Fry) deductive assistance. Will this be enough to exonerate Zack of his alleged crime?
Meanwhile, after Booth (David Boreanaz) told him of an upcoming job offer from the Los Angeles field office for a supervisory special agent position, Aubrey (John Boyd) will have to make some important decisions regarding his future, especially the part of it that includes his girlfriend Jessica (Laura Spencer). How will accepting this new job on the other side of the state ultimately affect their relationship?

Angela (Michaela Conlin) also has some big news of her own to share, which seems to be a joyous one judging from the promotional photo of her and Brennan hugging it out in glee. The same cannot be said for what fan-favorite character Avalon (Cyndi Lauper) has to say to Booth, though. What brings the psychic to the institute this time around? Does it have anything to do with the season's main protagonist, Kovac (Gerard Celasco), escaping from prison?
Kovac has a bone to pick with Booth, Brennan and the entire Jeffersonian crew by association. Putting a heinous murderer behind bars and then letting him escape can only ever lead to a bad thing, like a bomb somehow finding its way to the institute's Medico-Legal Lab. And the worst part of it is that Booth and Brennan will be trapped inside with it, as teased by the official trailer for the upcoming episode.
