'Bones/Sleepy Hollow' Crossover Special News – Two Genius Teams Collaborate On One Killer Case
The much awaited two-hour event of the "Bones" and "Sleepy Hollow" crossover features Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills teaming up with Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan where the 'two genius teams' will come across a history-making discovery.
The special event is a two-part Halloween special, a crossover of two favourite TV shows, "Sleepy Hollow" and "Bones." The special will air on October 29 on FOX and kicks off at 8 p.m. with the special "Bones" episode titled "The Resurrection in the Remains." Next is the "Sleepy Hollow" episode titled "Dead Men Tell No Tales," which follows at 9 pm with the story being continued.
Producer Clifton Campbell of "Sleepy Hollow" spoke to Variety about how the two different teams could collaborate on one investigation. Campbell said, "Pairing them up together is something that I think our fans and their fans will enjoy seeing as they process the same case together. At a certain point midway, when we pass off from their episode to our episode, the supernatural really kicks in and it's like looking at two sides of the same coin."
In the previous episodes of "Sleepy Hollow" Pandora has been shown as getting stronger and unleashing horrifying items from her box of tricks. To fight this formidable foe, Ichabod and Abbie ask for the help of Booth and Brennan from the Jeffersonian.
The promo of the trailer for the crossover event says, "Two genius teams, one crossover event" and the Halloween adventure begins when Dr. Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel, and Agent Booth, played by David Boreanaz, discover a "grisly" pile of human remains. The two begin their investigation and will come upon Ichabod and Abbie who are also investigating the same case.
As the case progresses, Brennan is intrigued by the characters from the past while Booth does not seem so impressed. Ichabod raises his famous brow in confusion as Booth and Abbie team up, both being field agents.
There are comic moments when Ichabod seems to be vexed as no one is taking him seriously and he exclaims that everyone is looking at him as if he is from the planet Vulcan.
Fans will not want to miss the crossover of the scientific and the mythic teams. The "Bones/Sleepy Hollow" crossover special airs on October 29 at 8 pm on FOX.
