'Booster Gold' News: Greg Berlanti Confirms Upcoming Movie About Time-Traveling DC Superhero
Could Booster Gold finally be having his bigger share of the spotlight? If the planned standalone movie feature about the time-traveling superhero pushes through, then the answer is a resounding yes.
Earlier, Heroic Hollywood cited an interview with Kevin Smith on the YouTube show "Fatman on Batman," where Zack Stentz shared that he is currently working on an undisclosed project with Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter. According to the superhero-entertainment website, there is a big possibility that the project in reference is Booster Gold.
However, in a recent article of The Hollywood Reporter, Heroic Hollywood's speculation has finally been confirmed. In the article, Berlanti confirmed that he is attached to another DC and Warner Bros. project, and it is no less than Booster Gold's own big screen live action feature.

"I'm attached to a few films (at Warner Bros.) now, and one, Booster Gold, is a DC property. Zack Stentz, who wrote an episode of Flash last year, just got the job, so he's writing the script now. I'd probably direct that, or I would want to," said Berlanti in the article published by The Hollywood Reporter.
Booster Gold is a character created by Dan Jurgens in 1986. He is a human from the 25th century who traveled back to the present time in the DC Universe. With the technology from the time he originally belongs to, he became a superhero and part of the Justice League.
Michael Jon Carter, the alter-ego of Booster Gold, was a star quarterback in the period he is originally part of. However, he got caught selling his own games, hence, his reputation fell in shambles. One day, he decided to steal a power suit and traveled back in the present time.
As a superhero, he is bent on reliving the glory days he had when he was still a star athlete. In the current take of the superhero, he even has his own Twitter account and sponsorships and endorsement deals.
Despite the fame whore that he is, Booster Gold understands that he needs to guard the timestream. However, he cannot boast of his responsibility as history can be altered once it is revealed what he is capable of. Meanwhile, there is still no confirmation on another earlier reported DC superhero movie, Blue Beetle.
