'Born in China' Reality Movie News: Part of Movie's Earnings to be Used for Support of Conservation Campaigns
The Earth Day trailer of Disneynature's true life adventure movie "Born in China" bodes well for the awesomeness nature is made of. Filmed in China, the reality-movie follows the lives and adventures of three animal families in their most intimate moments that will surely pave the way for a better understanding of their breed.
"Born in China" is directed by Chinese filmmaker Lu Chuan, who went through the challenges of immortalizing wild life in the country's extreme environments. The movie captures the moments of a caring mother panda bear as she provides guidance and protection to her baby until it begins to live its life on its own.
The movie also follows the life of a two-year old golden monkey that, upon the birth of its baby sister, felt misplaced. Eventually, he joins a group of other fun-loving outcasts of its kind.
"Born in China" also features the adventures of a mother snow leopard as she raises her two cubs in a very punishing environment. Without question, this is one of the major selling points of the reality film as only a few have captured a snow leopard on a camera.
While the movie is set to be shown in time for Earth Day next year, the team behind it has already started campaigning to the moviegoers as part of its earnings is meant to benefit a good cause. As Disneynature is committed to conservation, with it being the soul of its label, it will make donations based on the earnings of the movie on its first week of showing to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) via its Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.
Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund has supported various conservation campaigns, including planting three million trees in Brazil's Atlantic Forest, establishing 40,000 acres of marine protected area in The Bahamas, protecting 65,000 acres of savanna in Kenya, and many other environmental conservation drives.
