'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Plot Spoilers: A Transfer Student Appears

A transfer student moves to the Hidden Leaf Village and into Boruto's school, and fans will want to know more about this new and mysterious character as "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" continues on Wednesday, May 3, at 4:55 a.m. EDT on TV Tokyo.

Fans with a keen eye may have already caught a glimpse of the new student in the fading seconds of episode 4, after Boruto and the other students leave the ruined school to get some burgers. On a nearby rooftop, a silhouette of the unruly hair and loose robes of the mystery character can be seen as he surveys Boruto and the rest of the group.

Episode 5 of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" introduces Mitsuki in this installment which is simply titled "The Mysterious Transfer Student!" as revealed in advance by Otaku Art. Not only is Mitsuki from a mysterious place, but for a student who appears to be the same age as Boruto and the rest, he looks a bit strange.

His white hair, pale skin and yellow eyes will have the rest of the school's attention on him soon enough, no doubt. Near the end of the trailer, which has been translated to English, Mitsuki speaks the first word fans can hear from the new character: "I'm fine with whatever ... But this is a noisy town." Strange words coming from a transfer student who arrives from a place called the Hidden Sound Village.

Mitsuki looks to be facing Iwabe in the course of this episode, so fans can look forward to more action from the irascible Iwabe versus the calm-looking transfer student. Something is not quite right, however, as it's implied that Boruto is seeing the dark energy again, the same one that got hold of Metal Lee in episode three of the show.
