Boxing News 2015: Deontay Wilder Alleges Tyson Fury Turned Down Offer For Fight, Shares Thoughts On How It Would Have Turned Out

World Boxing Council heavyweight (WBC) heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder recently made bold statements about newly crowned champion Tyson Fury.

Fury was able to bag the WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO world titles after defeating nine-year champion Wladimir Klitschko in their fight last November 28th in Dusseldorf, Germany. For his part, Klitschko says he will be exercising the rematch clause that was agreed upon during the pre-fight negotiations.

This led to the International Boxing Federation to strip Fury of their belt, for failing to agree to fight their mandatory challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov. Right now, Fury is enjoying the fruits of his labor and his new status as boxing's heavyweight champion of the world.

But another world champion in his division is creeping up for a challenge. WBC heavyweight champion Wilder is looking for a shot at Fury.

Holding an undefeated record of 35-0 (with 34 victories by knockout), "The Bronze Bomber" last fought Frenchman Johann Duhaupas in September in Alabama, where he won by 11th round technical knockout.

He is slated to defend his title against Polish heavyweight Artur Szpilka on January 16 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Wilder had seemingly visualized how his fight against Fury would go. In a video by Fight Hype, the 30-year-old boxer believes it will not go to the judges' scorecards.

"I see that fight being a knockout," said Wilder. "His team knows that." Wilder also says that they had challenged Fury in the past, but the British boxer had turned him down.

In another report by Sky Sports, Wilder says that the fight between him and Fury is inevitable to happen, given that they have been "advertising" their fight for four years already.

Wilder adds that no matter if Fury would be the champion or not, their fight should happen at all costs.

"That fight must take place sometime in history, sometime in the future, so whether he loses or wins that fight - it must happen," he tells Sky Sports.
