Boy Writes Dear Santa Letter to Ask for Bullies to Stop Picking on Twin Sister 'God is Busy and Needs Your Help'
An 8-year-old is touching the lives of people across the country as his simple act of love for his twin sister went viral over the last few days.
Ryan Suffern had one request in an early letter to Santa, for him to come help out his sister from getting bullied in school.
Ryan's sister, Amber, suffers from ADHD as well as other mood and mental disorders according to their mother. She is also overweight because she is an emotional eater. The is because of this that she has been getting picked on at school, and nobody knew how bad it was.
"If my kids don't call names and pick on others, I would expect other parents to teach their kids to be respectful, too," their mother Karen told CNN. "There have been times my kids would point at others and say, "why is her hair so strange" and things like that, and I would say, 'You know, people are different, and that is just the way they are.'"
The letter read (spelling fixed):
"Dear Santa, My mom said to send you are Christmas list I wanted a remote control car and helicopter but I don't want that any more kid at school are still picking on Amber and its not fair because she doesnt do anything to them and it makes me mad I prayed that they will stop but god is busy and needs your help. Is it against the rules to give gift early? Can you ask Big Time Rush to come to Amber's B-day party it will make her so happy. If you can't get them to come but just get her everything she ask for. thanks santa. PS my mom throw the best B-day partys you can come if you want."
Suffern said her eyes were filled with tears as she read her son's letter and had no idea of how bad things had gotten.
"Every day when she goes to school, she says 'Mommy, can I just stay at home?' and she just doesn't want to go.' And now every time I send her to school, I feel like I am not protecting her and I am letting her down," Suffern said.
Suffern shared the photo of the letter on Facebook, and it made its rounds until it wound up on CNN. Since then, the news outlet was able to get in contact with a star from Big Time Rush, and they said, "Christmas may be coming early."
A brother standing up for his sister now gives this little girl a happy ending and a picture of love.
