Brandy Defends Kim Kardashian, Tweets Ray J to 'Be Nice' After Sex Tape Mockery

Brandy recently asked her brother RayJ to ease off on mocking Kim Kardashian following his recent tweet to the reality star.

Kardashian, who rose to stardom in 2007 following the release of her and Ray J's infamous tape, tweeted about not being defined by her past on Wednesday to which RayJ laughed at her. His insensitive response prompted a cryptic response from Kardashian's on-and-off friend Brandy.

"@RayJ Brother, be nice:) Love you!!!! My show went really well in DC!!! Wish you were there:(" Brandy posted on Twitter.

While the singer did not specify Kardashian in her tweet, the response came shortly after RayJ publicly responded to claims that he blatantly mocked the reality TV star.

"U wouldn't be who u are today, u wouldn't have the depth, maturity, & the insight were it not for those challenges that forced u to grow," Kim tweeted before adding: "Keep your life in a positive perspective. We are not defined by our pasts."

Ray J, who previously denied leaking the tape to the public, responded with "LOL," which is short for "laugh out loud."

"I felt like it was real, what [Kardashian tweeted]," Ray J told radio station Power 106. "I kinda laughed about it, 'cause it was 100."

Kardashian's tweet comes just days after new reports which suggest that the tape is causing problems in her new relationship with Kanye West.

"I wish [Kim and Kanye] the best. Life is a roller-coaster, so you never know what's gonna happen, but I wish 'em the best, much success to both of 'em. Yo, this whole thing is like a Magic Mountain experience," Ray J said.

Kardashian recently spoke to Oprah Winfrey regarding the humiliation that she faced as a result of her tape's release, and admitted that while it definitely shaped her career, it has posed many challenges.

"I'm not naïve to that fact, that that's pretty much how I was introduced to the world," Kardashian recently told Oprah Winfrey when asked if the sex tape helped her career.

"It was a negative way, so I felt like I really had to work ten times harder to get people to see the real me," she said.
