Branson Ice cubes on Virgin Atlantic: Business Man Chills in First Class

First class passengers traveling on Virgin Atlantic will now be more familiar with the face of the company, as the airline has announced that it will be serving up the business guru in various mixed drinks.

Virgin Atlantic has released a cool impersonation of the company's owner, Sir Richard Branson. In order to celebrate the airline's new in-flight bar, the company has decided to create custom ice cubes in the shape of Branson's head. The ice cubes come complete with Branson's long hair and full-toothed smile.

It took six designers to develop the cubes according to Mail Online, who reported that the idea was developed so the boss man would be able to "travel 'in spirit' with his passengers" and allow passengers to "experience what it may be like to have a drink with the billionaire entrepreneur."

"Now he is able to join our guests 'in spirit' on one of the upper class cabin's first flights as they raise a toast to their trip and the exciting times ahead," Steve Ridgway, chief executive of Virgin Atlantic said.

The ice cubes certainly appeared to have a chilling effect.

"I find that rather creepy," BagelMart said on the Huffington Post blog. Many others appeared to disagree, rather enjoying the silly antics of a businessman who doesn't "take himself [too] seriously."

"Virgin Atlantic is my favourite airline and I am a great admirer of Branson. This is just another bit of fun from a CEO who doesn't take himself at all seriously," Byronic wrote.

"Ya know...it's unique....and he's always thinking and dreaming. He's a trailblazer and innovative..... and well....good for him!" AGirlWithaPlan chimed in.

Still some cried "egomaniac," while others suggested that the new ice cubes would have a negative impact on their in-flight drinking experience.

"Yeah because that's what I want floating in (and watering down) my glass of scotch," OkieIntellectual wrote.
