Brazil vs. Haiti 2016: Neymar Skips Copa America But Plays in Rio: The Preview, Livestream and Ticket Information
Selecao is not being complacent with a match versus Haiti and considers the game not an easy one.
Neymar is featured in the main photo here above, but in reality he is not playing today. Brazil is now up for the challenge against Haiti in the Copa America Group B matches as Selecao hopes to overpower the team that recently lost to Peru. The game is slated at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Both teams will fight it out at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday night. Though Brazil is the favored team to win, their defender Marquinhos told MLS Soccer that Haiti should not be underestimated.
"We need to have our feet on the ground [versus Haiti]," Maquinhos explained, noting that they should not be complacent since anything can happen during a game. "We need to respect our opponent and know that nothing is given to us just because we are the Seleção."
During the first round of the games, Haiti had a 1-0 loss versus Peru, but the team's players showed great skills and talent on the field that should never be set aside by their Brazilian opponents. They have players like Mechack Jerome and Alberto Rodriguez, who can work their magic for the team during the game.
Marquinhos recorgnized that there will be no easy game for Selecao in this year's Copa America. He noted that they are are determined to score a win versus Haiti, which he claimed did very well with its match versus Peru even though they lost the game.
Brazil also struggled in their previous match with Ecuador, resulting in a 0-0 draw. Selecao could have actually lost if the goal of Ecuador's Miler Bolanos was recognized by the referee and other game officials.
The Brazilian team had a hard time winning the match because they battle on the field without some of their top players like David Luiz, Neymar and Thiago Silva. Team captain Neymar only watched the game to show support to Brazil after he was not allowed by Barcelona to play in the Copa America 2016. Daniel Alves took his place as team captain.
Now, the team is looking to score and defeat Haiti for their next game, but just like Marquinhos' advice, Selecao should not consider them as easy opponents. They would have to go against a team with players also aiming to win the match.
Tickets for the match cost around $94 to $270. The live game can be watched via Fox Sports 1, UniMas and UDN. A livestream feed is available via this link for those who want to catch it online.
