'Bridget Jones' will be back on the big screen!

Fans of this hit movie franchise are now excited upon hearing the news that Renee Zellweger will reprise her role as "Bridget Jones." It has been 11 years since the series' last movie, "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason," and fans cannot wait to see the new movie on the big screen.

According to People, the third Bridget Jones is said to revolve around Bridget's new life as a mother. The movie, which is said to be titled "Bridget Jones' Baby," will be filming in the United Kingdom starting the first week of October. The movie is said to be directed by Sharon Maguire, who originally directed "Bridget Jones Diary" in 2001.

A rep for the movie confirmed to People that Patrick Dempsey will join the cast; however, no other details were given about his role yet. The British actor, Colin Firth, will be back to reunite with Bridget, as Mark Darcy.

The story line of the movie is still being kept a secret, but it is said that the awkward Brit will find herself pregnant unexpectedly. People reported that the screenplay will bridge the gap between Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and "Mad About the Boy," which is another best-selling novel by Helen Fielding.

It still remains a mystery, though, who the father of Bridget's child is, and fans are speculating whether this will be another battle between Darcy and Patrick Dempsey's character for Bridget's heart.

Zellweger was seen earlier this week in London taking an afternoon stroll. According to People, the actress, who is now probably practicing her British accent, was spotted running errands. The 46-year-old was said to look relaxed, and wearing casual clothes and just a little makeup. A source told People that the Oscar winner is just "super excited" to come back to her role.

The movie will start its first day of filming this Oct. 2, according to the website.
