Can Brooklyn Nets Convince Miloš Teodosić to Join Them?
The Brooklyn Nets' interest in Miloš Teodosić isn't exactly a secret.
Nets general manager Sean Marks was reportedly in Moscow to take a look at the 30-year-old combo guard and they would love to sign him this offseason. Well, they are going to face a lot of competition for his signature because National Basketball Association (NBA) teams have been keeping an eye on him since his tenure with Olympiacos. However, he has never seriously considered playing in the United States before. Until now, that is.
In a blog post on Eurohoops.net, the 30-year-old combo guard talked about his plans for the future and he said he was open to playing in the NBA. However, he would only sign with a team that could meet his conditions.

"It's true that I'm seriously thinking about the possibility of the NBA, but nothing has transpired yet, and nothing will until the summer. I've said before that, in order for me to go to the USA, a team has to meet both my competitive ambitions — which is the most important thing — and everything that has to do with the financial aspect as well as the aspect of the length of my contract," Teodosić said on his blog post.
Teodosić is used to winning. He won with Olympiacos and he has continued to win with CSKA Moscow. Unfortunately, the Nets are not exactly the most competitive team in the NBA. In fact, they currently have the worst record in the league. They definitely fail to meet his "competitive ambitions."
The Nets do have assistant general manager Trajan Langdon, Teodosić's former CSKA Moscow teammate. But can he convince the guard to sign with them this summer?
Aside from the Nets, the Denver Nuggets are also interested in Teodosić and they do have the cap space to sign him this offseason. Their best player, Nikola Jokic, happens to be Serbian.
