They have a load of point guards who can start on other teams as Marcus Smart is steadily rising as one of the better PGs in the league, while Isaiah Thomas will definitely provide scoring from the bench.

In the shooting guard position, Avery Bradley is likely to be their starting 2 as he has held that position in recent years.

Jae Crowder will be battling Evan Turner for the starting position in small forward and expect both to share a fair share of minutes.

David Lee came from the Golden State Warriors and his performance during the Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers earned him the right to lead a young Celtics squad.

Amir Johnson and Tyler Zeller are the two centers for the team completing their core that could battle even the best teams on their good nights.

They are facing the Nets who have played two preseason games so far – splitting them.

Brooklyn earned their first win against the Detroit Pistons where center Brook Lopez was unstoppable with 17 points and nine rebounds in less than 28 minutes on the floor.

In their second game, they faced the Philadelphia 76ers and lost after a clutch basket by the 76ers rookie TJ McConnell gave the Sixers the 97-95 win.

Jarrett Jack led the Nets with 20 points while Joe Johnson added 13 as he shot 50% from the field.
