'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' season 3 plot news: Jake and Amy's relationship
The third season of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is expected to premiere in less than week, which will reveal the aftermath of Jake and Amy's kiss.
The previous season ended with Jake, played by Andy Samberg, and Amy, played by Melissa Fumero, sharing a kiss. With that, the upcoming season is expected to continue the development of their relationship, which has been hinted since the end of season 1.
Fumero recently spoke to The Huffington Post about what to expect in the upcoming season. She shared that Nick Cannon will return as Marcus. With that, fans can expect more romantic gestures from Marcus toward Rosa. It was hinted that the two might see a more serious commitment in the episodes to come.
However, it was reported by Spoilers Guide that Jake and Amy will experience a falling out, due to the situation. The two will still be unsure of their feelings for one another, which will lead to an interesting buildup of events.
Meanwhile, the previous season also ended with the departure of Captain Holt, played by Andre Braugher. With that, another captain will take over the precinct. It was confirmed that Bill Hader will be joining the cast as the new captain. However, Hader was only listed as a guest star, which means that there is still a possibility of Holt's return to the precinct.
Creator of the series Dan Goor recently spoke to TV Guide about the upcoming events for Hitchcock, played by Dirk Blocker, and Scully, played by Joel McKinnon Miller. He said, "We have plans for them this season to get into an epic fight and rivalry that lasts for a while, but we have not yet implemented them," Goor says. "But I don't know that it will happen. I think in my mind the true show of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is their friendship. It's like an opera happening behind the scenes."
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 is expected to premiere on FOX this Sept. 27.
