'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 3 premiere date, spoilers update: New leader takes over Precinct 99, Amy and Jake officially in a relationship?
The Season 3 premiere of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine is fast approaching and fans can't wait already to know more of what's in store for the crime-busting group. Last season, fans watched Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) leaving the squad to pursue a different path. He departed from Peralta & Co. to join NYPD's public relations department, which means the team under Brooklyn's 99th precinct is without a leader. But it won't be long.
According to Franchise Herald, the position is going to be filled in by Captain Seth Dozerman who is going to be played by "Saturday Night Live" alumni, Bill Hader. Source say that his role in the action comedy will really put his comical skills to the test as he will be playing a character that is introduced to be borderline-crazy. He will also be stirring up some conflict with Detective Jake Peralta.
"Captain Dozerman is a severely anal-retentive personality...He is not an obvious fit with the precinct - and Jake in particular - but Jake does his best to acclimate," Andy Samberg, who plays Jake, told EW.
And speaking of Jake, Season 3 is also about him and Detective Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero). Did the two find sweet love with each other? Is it official for them in the comeback? The two were last seen in the previous season lip-locking in the storage room. This will make both of them preoccupied thinking about that kiss. Will work complicate their potential relationship or will it be the other way around? Will the potential relationship complicate work?
In an TV Line interview with showrunner Dan Goor, he gave some few hints on the real score between Amy and Jake. He said that it has been their philosophy to "try to deal with this [relationship] as realistically as possible." He then divulged that Amy and Jake share great chemistry together. They also obviously like each other. But with their highly competitive personalities and jobs, things can be more difficult than it looks. The third season will pick up right where they left off and they will be spending lots of time trying to figure out things between them.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Season 3 is set to premiere on Sept. 27.
